GC YTH March Parent Newsletter - Stay Connected
Hey Parents!
Thank you so much for your engagement and commitment to partner with us. Our goal is to equip your family to grow together in Christ. Please let us know how we can specifically lift up your families, marriages, and individual lives in prayer. Each month we strive to keep you informed on everything happening in our ministry. We wanted to share a few highlights and important pieces of communication.
Highlights in GC YTH:
-
We have seen a huge increase in students coming each week! We are so excited to see the next generation going after God!
-
So many students are serving on Sunday! We celebrated 1 student specifically on the team night we had last week. Shout out to Brayden Kessler! He is a high schooler who has been faithfully serving on a consistent basis and has been a peer to lean on to others in GC YTH.
-
Motion Student Conference 2024! We announced this a few weeks ago and students are so pumped to go back! If you are wanting more information about the conference click on the link below.
GC YTH's New Series
As we approach the Easter season, we spend time in the garden of Gethsemane with Jesus learning what prayer looks like for us today. This four-week series takes Jesus’ prayer in the garden in Luke 22 and teaches us important characteristics to improve our prayer lives. Some conversations you can have with your teenager at home that would enrich our regular teaching are themes like prayer, endurance, diligence, strength, and submission to God.
Parent Resource:
Every Parent's Guide to Navigating Our Digital World
Ever wanted help in setting guidelines on how to teach responsible social media usage or how to teach setting limits with our devices?
In their book, “Every Parent’s Guide to Navigating Our Digital World,” Kara Powell and Art Bamford dive into the topics of our digital world and teach us how to have a better grasp on it.
A special encouragement from the student pastor:
Being a parent is an extraordinary journey, one filled with incredible highs and challenging lows. It's a role that requires you to wear many hats: caregiver, teacher, cheerleader, counselor, and so much more. There are moments of immense joy and laughter, as well as times of worry and exhaustion. We understand that there are days when you question if you're doing enough, if you're doing it right, or if you can keep up with the pace. But we want you to know that every effort you make, every sacrifice you endure, every bit of love you pour into your children, it all counts. It all matters. So here's to you, the brave, the resilient, the loving parents. You are seen, you are appreciated, and you are doing an exceptional job. Never forget that!
How is your family celebrating Easter this month? How are you teaching your teenager about the importance of Jesus and His resurrection?
Thank you for your support and prayer each week. If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know!
